Sofia Airport

We arrived safe and sound late Friday evening. The next morning we were off to the middle of Bulgaria, with most of our staff, to visit some friends who recently purchased a small hotel. Our plan was two fold–to have a staff retreat/meeting and to check out the hotel to see if it might be someplace we would like to use for a retreat. We had a wonderful time catching up with old friends although our time went way too quickly! As far as our staff meeting–it was semi-productive. Villie was unable to come since she had a terrible cold. Praise the Lord, she is better now.

Sunday we were off to meet the woman who wants to sell us the land in a village near Garbrovo. It was good to see her again and to learn in person about the details of the court case. Plus it was great to stop by the property once again to pray and seek God’s will. If you would like to see a small video of the property click here. It is so beautiful. Perhaps by the fall we will learn the outcome and know if it is possible to purchase it.

Women’s Bible Study

Monday we were back in Sofia in time for our Monday Night Women’s Bible Study. It was great fun to surprise the women. Unfortunately, Keith got a small cold and now we are praying he will get over it quickly and that I may be spared. There is much work to do and a cold sure slows us down.

Today, Tuesday, we went to look at some houses that are for sale as we pray and seek God’s will as to where He would like us to be–Sofia or near Garbrovo. I must say that it gets pretty discouraging to keep looking at houses and properties. We have been looking for a place, for over 10 years, where we can live, have our office and hold small retreats such as Go in Peace Weekends. But I reminded Keith, although there are many places for sale, there is only one place that is the right place and we just have to keep looking until we discover that place.

So as you think of us, please keep us in your prayers. We need Godly wisdom, guidance and faith.
