Go In Peace
Go In Peace Weekend
Do you desire to go deeper in your relationship with God so that you can become all that He created you to be? Or perhaps you are struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, fear, rage, relationship difficulties and/or self-destructive behaviors such as alcohol and drug abuse, eating disorders, cutting or even suicidal thoughts. Or maybe you just want to learn how to minister to those who are hurting.
Then I invite you to attend a Go in Peace Weekend.
The Go in Peace Biblical Discipleship Curriculum uses the story of the Sinful Woman in Luke 7 as the foundation to help heal the brokenhearted and take you deeper in your relationship with God. This Bible study teaches practical application of God’s Word so that you can become all that God created you to be.
Here are a few words that some have penned after going through Go in Peace! “Amazing and life changing!” “Easy to understand and apply!” “Awesome resource!” “Great discipleship tool!” “Highly recommended!” “God blessed my life through it!” “Go in Peace will expose you to yourself!” “I will never be the same again—praises to the Lord!”

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. -Psalm 34:18
One evening, there was a news story on television about a young woman who had committed suicide by jumping off a bridge. In her suicide letter, she wrote that she felt responsible for the death of her child through abortion and could no longer live with herself. For her, this was the only way to escape the pain.
Have you ever been is such a deep pit of despair? Did it seem as if nothing or no one could possibly take the pain away?
Although abortion may not be an issue in your life, most of us have been wounded and hurt at some point in life’s journey. These hurts may be a result of our own sin (such as bad decisions or wrong choices) or the result of another’s sin against us (as in the case of rejection, abuse or rape). In either case, what we do with these hurts greatly affect us and can cause us to dwell in the pit of despair.
In view of this, for those who dwell in the pit of despair, I write this for you, for I have known a pit as deep as yours. When I was ready to admit that my life was out of control, I cried out to God for help, and He met me there. He began to heal my broken heart and teach me how to give my deep heart hurts to Him once and for all. I learned that He never intended for me to carry the hurt by myself. What He taught me set me free. It enabled me to go in peace! Fear was replaced with strength, depression with joy, anxiety with faith, and rage with rest.
Best yet, I experienced peace with God deep within my heart. That’s what it means to go in peace! Likewise, if you have been hurt in life, this Bible study is for you. God truly desires for you to join with me as we go in peace!
Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted. From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness—only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with oil.
My prayer for you is this: that you will come to know in a more intimate way the “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6b).
For this reason, I pray that you will become spiritually, emotionally and physically whole in regard to the wounds and deep hurts in your life. If you are brave enough to turn these pages and apply what you learn to your life, you will find a peace that surpasses all understanding.
You will discover the hurts that are driving the self-destructive behaviors. You will learn how to give these hurts to God in the manner He intended so that you can be set free. You will discover how to apply God’s Word to your life in a tangible way so that you too can go in peace. And best yet, you will learn the truth of who you are in Christ so that you can become all that God created you to be.
Now, there is no need to worry, no need to fret; you will not be asked to do anything you are uncomfortable with or told that you must share your deepest secrets. You see, what you will be taught within these pages is not based on human philosophy or human psychology. Instead it is based 100 percent upon the Word of God and you will find among these pages a love so deep for you its immeasurable. No matter what you have been through, or how deeply you have been hurt, know that you are in a safe place.
The Wonderful Counselor is waiting to restore to you a joy, peace and happiness that you may not have even known was missing. It’s amazing! It’s a miracle! It’s exactly what happened within my own life when God taught me what I am about to teach you. It wasn’t until the happiness returned that I even realized that it had been missing from my own life since I was a young child. The happiness comes with the joy and peace that only God can give. I can honestly say that all three remain as long as I continue to apply the truth found within these pages to my life. The most amazing part of this, I learned what I am about to teach you over twenty years ago.
Are you brave enough to walk away from the side of the bridge and into a brand-new life filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22)? As you walk away from that ledge, you will discover the best that Jesus has in store for you. May the same words that He spoke to the Sinful Woman (and to me) resonate within your entire being:*
Your sins are forgiven. . . . Your faith has saved you; go in peace. —Luke 7:48,50
