God’s Perfect Will

As the New Year approaches it causes me to pause and consider what the Lord has in store for the year 2013. My will, and truly my heart’s cry, is to be in God’s perfect will. As I was pondering just that thought a portion of a verse, from my life’s verses, jumped out at me:

But the Lord said to me, “. . . You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.” —Jeremiah 1:7

In fact, it was more the word “I” which mostly caught my attention. In other words, the verse was saying to me… that my life is not my own and therefore it is important to be ready to go to everyone GOD sends me to. Not my will, but His be done in and through my life.

With this in mind, along with the start of the New Year, I only want to go and be where God wants me to go or to be. Usually my schedule for a new year is full by this time, oftentimes with things that seem to repeat year after year—the same seminars and events—even the same time of year that we go to Bulgaria, to do. . . what else. . . our annual events. But this year, with all that God is speaking to my heart, I do not want to just fill in the calendar with the same old, same old. I only want to do what He is calling me to do. Does that make sense?

Well, with all this said, can you join me in prayer for God’s perfect will for both my life and yours? Does the Lord want me to go to Bulgaria or not? And if so, not only when, but also where does He want me to go within Bulgaria? What seminars does He want us to do? And what about the States: Where does He want me to go? Who does He want me to minister to? There are many who have asked to be trained in how to disciple others. Are there any seminars—such as a workshop to train leaders in how to disciple hurting women or teens—that He wants me to schedule? So many times I don’t schedule these types of things because I feel as if I am doing them. But if God truly desires me to do this then I want to be obedient. With all this said, please pray for me to be sensitive to His Spirit so that I may live my life to the fullest for His glory.

And while we are at it, let me know if there is anything that you would like me to pray about doing. Is there a seminar you would like me to do in your city, state or even another country? Remember God’s Word says:

“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” —Acts 1:8b

Put in your request and I will truly take the time to pray and see if it is God’s will, for I truly only want to go to those whom God is sending me. I no longer want to be a creature of habit! Even through the work may be a good work, I’m looking forward to enjoying His grand adventure!

UPDATE: I wrote this blog yesterday while working at CCM. Then on my long drive home (1 1/2 hours) the Lord began to impress upon my heart answers to some of my questions concerning my schedule. Super excited about the things He showed me. I will keep you posted on my Facebook page of the upcoming events as they unfold. God bless! Feel free to post your comments about how God is speaking to you for the year 2013. What’s His call on your life? Are you doing it?

I am just trusting in the Lord and waiting on His promise that I might get a kidney transplant this coming year. I’m on dialysis three days a week (Tues, Thurs and Sat.) and I feel I’m there for a reason other than just having dialysis. I pray that God puts at least one person in my life daily to let them know about my Saviour. Thank you Lord for my dialysis. <3

Thanks for your comment Kathy. We will join you in prayer for that kidney transplant!! “Lord, we pray for Your perfect will in Kathy’s life. We pray that You use her every time she goes for dialysis. Let Your love shine through her. May her faith in You be a testimony to so many. And in Your perfect timing provide the kidney, the perfect doctor to do the surgery, a quick healing and the finances for all this. Amen!”
