Example of my Ten-Second Testimony
There was a time in my life when I had a hole in my heart which I tried to fill in all the wrong ways. This eventually led to thoughts of suicide.
Then God met me where I was, and He filled the hole in my heart.
I discovered the truth that I am love and truly forgiven.
Example of my Thirty-Second Testimony
When I was a teenager I tried to fill the hole in my heart in all the wrong ways–wrong relationships, drinking, drugs–none of them satisfied. I eventually got to the place where I contemplated suicide.
In my hopelessness I decided to go to church to see if God could help. Amazement hit me the moment I walked through the doors and heard the worship. I felt God’s love and His presence. At that moment I knew what would fill the hole in my heart.
Since then God has been faithful. I discovered He truly loves me. He forgave me for every wrong I’d done. And He set me free. He filled my heart with joy and peace. He can do the same in your life. Are you ready?
Example of my Sixty-Second Testimony
When I was a teenager I had a hole in my heart which I tried to fill in all the wrong ways–wrong relationships, drinking, drugs–none of these things satisfied. I eventually got to the place where I contemplated suicide, but, praise the Lord, I was a chicken. I was afraid that if I tried to kill myself and failed I would have even more problems to deal with. I am so thankful I was a chicken!
Because God had better plans for me! I decided to go to church and see what God had to say about life. But I wanted a church which only taught verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, from the Bible. I don’t know where I got that idea–except to say it had to be from God. I was so tired of what Man had to say. Man had blown it for me. So I asked around and heard about Calvary Chapel.
The moment I walked in, there were people at the door who greeted me, and I could hear the worship starting. As I found a seat I could feel God’s presence in His love and acceptance. It was at that moment He began to wash me clean from all my guilt and shame. While at the same moment He began to fill the hole in my heart with His love, grace and mercy. My life has never been the same!
Since then, which was thirty plus years ago, God has been faithful. I’ve discovered He is a real God who truly loves me. He forgave me for the wrong I’ve done. He set me free from the guilt and shame of my past. He loves me so much that He is interested in every detail of my life–big and small. He filled my heart with joy and peace. He wants to do the same in your life. He wants to fill the hole in your heart and set you free. Will you let Him?
